About Manor Holding Cottage
Sympathetically restored over many years, insulated, and full of sunlight, the cottage is naturally warm. Enhanced by the warm colours of the furnishings and terracotta floors, plus invisible under floor heating. The charming crooked timber frame, leaning walls and low ceilings combined with the use of materials like earth daub, lime plaster and green oak help recapture the cottage'’s original character, while the inglenook and old stone bread oven step straight from history.
Contemporary comforts are not forgotten, with super efficient glass fronted wood burning stove, deep leather sofas and huge "queen" size double bed, and a well equipped modern kitchen for all those banquets, complete with fan assisted ovens, gas hobs, microwave, and slow cooker, and multispeed extractor fans for those little mishaps!
The location of Manor Holding could not be more tranquil and picturesque, – it stands in 5 acres of wild flower meadows and ancient orchards buzzing with wildlife, and visited by fallow deer. Beyond the grounds, stunning countryside stretches for miles, rich in historic settlements and criss-crossed with walking, cycling and bridle trails. The cottage is the perfect base from which to enjoy the delights of the English countryside.
