Cleobury Mortimer is a �%u20AC%u02DCWalkers are Welcome�%u20AC%u2122 town. This status is awarded to areas with well maintained, safe waymarked footpaths and who give a warm welcome to walkers in accommodation, pubs, cafes and shops.

A guide to all Shropshire Walkers are Welcome towns can be found at the entrance to Cleobury Country Centre and with other walking information in the Market Hall adjacent to St. Mary’s Church in Cleobury Mortimer.
Our area has three active volunteer maintenance groups based at Cleobury Mortimer, Stottesdon & Kinlet.
In Cleobury Mortimer, this group is the footpath association(CMFA). They lead local walks on the first Sunday of the month and in the festive season.
They also provide a wide range of leaflets describing walks which you can do on your own. These walks can be downloaded free from the association's website or can be obtained in the town at the market Hall individually or at Butlers as a pack. There are also walks leaflets starting from Stottesdon and Kinlet.
